Courtney Mittlestadt crowned Miss Rodeo NDWS 2011
On March 5th, 2011, at the 74th annual North Dakota Winter Show, Courtney's dream came true as she earned the great privilege of representing rodeo and the North Dakota Winter Show when she was crowned Miss Rodeo NDWS 2011. She also won the personality award along with her title.
Courtney Jaye Mittlestadt is the 18 year old daughter of Jason and Linda Mittlestadt of Bismarck. She graduated with honors in May 2011 from Century High School where she was an active member in the school choir and Bismarck FFA Chapter. She plans to attend college and pursue a major in agricultural communications. In her free time Courtney enjoys spending time with friends and family, riding horses, hunting and photography.
Born and raised in North Dakota, Courtney holds a passion for horses, rodeo, and the overall western way of life. She looks up to her parents who have taught her that a positive attitude combined with values such as respect, patience, faith, and sportsmanship will get her far in life. She believes there is no better sport than rodeo as it is the most exciting and honest sport there is.
Courtney feels blessed and excited for her adventure as the Miss Rodeo North Dakota Winter Show Queen, and believes that she will be a great promoter for the sport of rodeo and role model to the community while preserving North Dakota's western heritage.
Courtney would also like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored and continues to support her in this journey. She will be working hard as she prepares to compete for the Miss Rodeo North Dakota crown in October 2011.
